American White Ibis 2
American White Ibis, Greeting Card (LAM00109GCX)
American White Ibis

The American White Ibis (also known in south Louisiana as the bec croche, or "crooked beak" is a sleek and speedy flyer. Watching a flock arrive for landing is a sight to behold.

Ibises have the reputation of being the last wildlife to leave before a hurricane arrives and the first to return after a storm passes. The legend must be true, as Hurricane Katrina had little impact on their presence in New Orleans.

La Danse

CELEBRATE!  This card has the greeting "Celebrate!" on the inside, and is well-suited for any special occasion.  Whether you are celebrating a birthday, new job, anniversary or any other joyous event, this is the perfect card for you.

This photograph is of a copy of the statue by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux that is on the façade of the Palais Garnier; the original is now housed in the Musée d’Orsay. Its exuberant expression of
la joie de vivre, writ forever in marble, reflects the irrepressible spirit of humanity. Despite efforts by puritanical interests to destroy it (the artwork was defaced shortly after its unveiling in 1869), the Dance of Joy continues.
